Soft Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 Cups Shortening
• 4 Cups Sugar
• 8 Eggs, beaten
• 2 Cups Buttermilk
• 2 tsp. Vanilla
• 9 Cups Flour
• 4 tsp. Baking Powder
• 2 tsp. Baking Soda

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening. Add sugar and eggs. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and baking soda. Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees.
