Ingredients
- 2 C. chocolate wafer crumbs
- 1/2 C. butter, melted
- 29 oz cream cheese
- 1 C. sugar
- 5 tsp. cornstarch
- 4 eggs, 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 6 oz semisweet chocolate, divided
- 3 oz white chocolate, divided
- 1/3 C. mashed sweetened strawberries
- 2-1/2 tsp. shortening, divided
Preparation
Step 1
Combine crumbs and butter, press into bottom of 10" springform pan. Bake at 350* for 8-10 min. In large bowl combine cream cheese, sugar and cornstarch until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, add vanilla.
Divide into 3 portions. Melt 3oz chocolate, stir into one portion of batter. Melt 2-1/2 oz white chocolate, stir into second portion of batter. Stir strawberries into remaining batter. Spread chocolate portion over crust, carefully spread white chocolate batter next, then top with strawberry portion. Bake at 350* for 15 min, reduce temperature to 200* and bake 1 hr and 10 min longer. Turn oven off and run knife around edge of cake and leave in oven 1 hour. Chill overnight.
Melt remaining chocolates with shortening, cover cake with chocolate, drizzle with white chocolate. Serve with fresh strawberries
