Seafood Mama Casserole

A favourite recipe from my friend Kelly that she makes every year. She finally gave it to me.

Ingredients

  • 2 c. chopped onions
  • 2 3/4 c. chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3/4 c. all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 c. grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 3/4 lbs. seafood (lobster, crab, shrimp, scallops, tuna or other

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onion and celery in 1/4 c. butter until tender; stir in salt and pepper

Melt 1/2 c. butter in medium saucepan; add flour; slowly add milk, stir in cheese, cook and stir until cheese is melted; remove from heat.

Combine celery mixture with seafoods, turn into a large casserole; pour sauce over top.

Bake at 350 15 to 20 minutes or until bubbly and brown.

NOTE: recipe may be prepared in individual casseroles if preferred.
