  • Glaze:
  • 1 Cup Butter
  • 1 1/2 Cups Sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 3 Cups Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1 Quart Cherry Pie Filling
  • 1 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Tbs. Butter
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
  • Milk to make a thin glaze

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, sugar, and eggs. Add rest of ingredients and mix. Spread a little over half of the dough in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Cover with pie filling and spoon rest of batter on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Drizzle with glaze while still warm. Variation: Lemon, raspberry, or other fruit filling is also good.
