Ingredients
- 1 lb. boneless beef sirloin or top round steak, cut into cubes
- 2 c. sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 t. garlic powder
- 32 oz. Swanson Beef Broth (3 1/2 cups)
- 2 medium carrots, sliced
- 1/4 t. dried thyme leaves, crushed
- Generous dash of pepper
- 1/2 c. quick cooking barley

Step 1
Cook beef in nonstick saucepot until browned and juices evaporate, stirring often.
Add mushrooms and garlic, cook until tender
Add broth, carrots, thyme and pepper. Heat to a boil. Stir in barley. Cover and cook over low heat 20 minutes or until barley is done.
