Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 pound shrimp
- salt to taste
- 6 cloves garlic, minced fine
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp cold butter, cut in 4 pieces
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp caper brine
- 1/3 cup chopped Italian parsley, divided
- water as needed to thin sauce
Preparation
Step 1
Get all your ingredients ready. Peel and devein shrimp.
Heat a heavy skillet over high heat. Add olive oil and heat until it almost smokes.
Add shrimp and spread out in pan. Add salt. Cook 1 minute. While tossing, cook 1 minute more.
Add garlic and pepper flakes. Cook another minute.
Add lemon juice and caper brine, 1 piece of butter and half the parsley. Stir.
When butter melts, turn heat to low. Add remaining butter. Cook until the butter melts.
Serve over pasta or bread.
Add a little water to sauce in pan and spoon over shrimp.
