Low Calorie Almond Macaroons

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg white
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1/4 cup wheat germ
  • shredded coconut (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325°. In a large bowl, with a hand held mixer on medium speed beat egg white until stiff. Slowly beat in sugar and extract. Mix well then fold in wheat germ. Spoon out mixture and drop on a greased baking sheet by the 1/2 teaspoon measurement. Drop oven temperature to 200°. Bake for 1 hour. Yields: 10
