Kourambiedes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sweet butter
  • 1/2 c confectionary sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven 375 degrees

Cream butter, sugar and egg yolk together for 30 minutes until fluffy. Add vanilla and add enough flour to shape cookies.

Shape into small balls and bake for 15 minutes.

When slightly cooled, roll into sifted confectionary sugar and put into decorative muffin cup papers.

Makes about 40 cookies.
