Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 pound salt pork
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups broken, uncooked spaghetti
  • 1 can (No. 2 1/2) (3 1/2 cups) tomatoes
  • 1 can (No.2) peas
  • 1 small can pimientos, chopped
  • 1 small can chopped ripe olives
  • 1/2 pound America cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Have yor meat dealer grind the beef and salt pork together. Melt the butter in large skillet and in it cook the onion until lightly browned; add the meat and cook. stirring frequently,until well browned. Cook the spaghetti; in boiling salted water until tender; drain; add to the meat. Add the tomatoes and peas, half the pimientos and olives, and half the grated cheese; mix all the ingredients lightly together with fork. Pour into greased baking dish; sprinkle the remaining cheese, olives, and pimientos over the top. Bake in hot oven (400F.) for about 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
