Cheese Tortellini with Gorgonzola

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 Tbsp minced shallots
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream (2 cups)
  • 1 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Sauteed mushrooms



Step 1

Melt butter and saute shallots and mushrooms in a pan. Add garlic and continue to saute. Add cream to skillet and simmer, stirring constantly until slightly thickened (3-4 mins). Add cheese and continue cooking until cheese melts. Season with pepper. Cook tortellini and drain. Pour sauce over tortellini and serve. Goes great with Champagne chicken.
