Bread - Pork & Bean Bread

This bread tastes delicious with cream chee3se, butter or honey.

the surprise is that pork and beans is the main ingredient

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 15 oz. can pork and beans
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 tea. vanilla
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 t3ea. baking powder
  • 1 tea. baking soda
  • 1 tea. cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

In a small bowl, add raisins to boiling water; set aside.

in a separate large bowl, mash beans with a fork until very smooth. Add eggs, oil, vanilla and sugar; mix well.

In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon; fold into bean mixture. Drain raisins and fold in with nuts.

Spoon batter into 2 greased 9x5" loaf pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 50-60 minutes, or until bread tests done with a toothpick.
