Oatmeal Cake

Ingredients

• 1 stick butter
• 1 1/2 cup boiling water
• 1 cup oatmeal
• Let sit till butter melts
• Add 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup white sugar
• 2 eggs
• Beat well
• Sift 1 1/2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix and bake 35 minutes at 350F.
Topping
1/3 cup butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cream
1 cup coconut1/2 chopped nuts
Mix; spread on warm cake and put under broiler.
