  • 4 chicken breast halves with skin and bones (2 1/2 lbs)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups dry red wine
  • 1 cup orange marmalade
  • 1 1/2-2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups seedless red grapes, halved lengthwise

Preheat oven to 450 with rack in the center. Toss chicken with oil, 1/2 tsp salt, ans 1/4 tsp pepper in lg bowl. Arrange chicken skin side up on sheet pan, roast until pale golden- 20 min, pour off juices. Meanwhile, briskly simmer wine and marmalade in heavy 12 inch skillet, stirring occ until reduced to 1 cup- (20 min), remove from heat, stir in lemon juice. Coat chicken with 3/4 cup glaze, scatter grapes around it, roast 10 min, coat with remaining glaze, roast 10 more min....
