Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400*.
Cream butter in bowl.
Gradually add suar and vanilla.
Cream until light and fluffy.
Gradually add flour to form a dough.
Divide in half.
Blend cocoa into 1/2. Chill if desired.
Sprinkle a sheet of waxed paper lightly with flour.
Roll out 1/2 of chocolate dough to a 9" x 6" rectangle.
1/8" thick.
Repeat with half of plain dough.
Place on top of one another.
Roll up 9" side.
Wrap in waxed paper.
Chill 2 hours.
Cut into 1/8" slices.
Place on lightly greased cookie sheets.
Bake for 5-8 minutes.
