Ingredients
- 1 16 oz pkg fettuccini
- Salt to taste
- 2 tsp butter
- 6 oz. prosciutto, julienned
- 1 T minced onion
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1 qt heavy caream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
Step 1
Cook the fettuccini in boiling salted water in a stockpot until tender; drain well. Stir in 1 tsp of the butter. Set aside and keep warm.
Melt the remaining 1 tsp butter in a 9" skillet. Add the ham and onion. Cook until the onion is translucent. Add the wine and cream. Cook until reduced by 1/2. Stir in the cheese. Season with salt and pepepr.
Toss the pasta with the sauce in a serving bowl, coating well.
