Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups margarine
  • 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups pumpkin -- canned
  • 1 cup chocolate chip
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

pre heat oven to 350 degrees

combine flour, oats , soda , cinnamon and salt and set aside

cream margarine , add sugars beating until light and fluffy

add eggs and vanilla, mix well

alternate additions of dry ingrediants and pumpkin mixing well after each addition

stir in nuts and chips

drop by 1/4 cups dough on a lightly greased cookie sheet

bake at 350 for 20-25min
