Carmel Frosting

Ingredients

  • 2 tbs. butter or margarine (melted)
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup of milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups of confectioners sugar (sifted)

Preparation

Step 1

Add the brown sugar and salt to the melted margarine or butter until dissolved. Add the milk and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove milk mixture and cool. Pour into mixing bowl and add vanilla and confectioners sugar. Beat for 2 minutes.

Frost 2, 8" layers
