CROCK POT MASHED POTATOES

  • 5 POUND POTATOES DICED AND PEELED
  • 1 CUP WATER
  • 1 CUP BUTTER, CUT INTO CHUNKS
  • 1 TABLESPOON SALT....PLUS
  • 1/4 TEASPOON SALT (LOOKS LIKE AN ERROR)
  • 1-1/4 GARLIC POWDER (OPTIONAL)
  • 3/4 TEASPOON GROUND BLACK PEPPER
  • 1-1/3 CUPS MILK

Preparation

Step 1

PLACE POTATOES, WATER AND BUTTER INTO SLOW COOKER.
SEASON WITH SALT, GARLIC POWDER AND PEPPER
COVER AND COOK ON HIGH FOR 4 HOURS
DO NOT REMOVE WATER FROM SLOW COOKER!!!!
MASH POTATOES WITH A MASHER OR ELECTRIC MIXER.
ADD DESIRED WARM MILK TO ACHIEVE CREAMY CONSISTENCY.
