Hermit Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter, softened
• 2 cups brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup cold coffee
• 3 1/2 cups flour
• 1 teas. baking soda
• 1 teas. salt
• 1 teas. nutmeg
• 1 teas. cinnamon
• 2 1/2 cups raisins
• 1 1/4 cups nuts, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together butter, brown sugar and eggs. Stir in coffee. Sift together dry ingredients and stir in. Mix in raisins and nuts. Chill dough at least 1 hour. Drop by rounded teaspoonful on lightly greased or parchment lined cookie sheet.

Bake 8-10 minutes at 400*.
