Not Ready for Prime Time Freezing Pie Dough

Step 1

After making the dough, wrap it in plastic wrap and shape it into a ball. If using a recipe for a two-crust pie, divide the dough in half first, and wrap and shape two balls of dough.

Place each disc in a plastic storage bag.

Using a rolling pin, slightly flatten each ball of dough (about ½ inch thick) to make rolling easier later. Seal the bags and place them in the freezer until you need them.

For best results, use within 3-6 months. Thaw overnight in refrigerator.
