Ingredients

  • 2 cups walnuts
  • 5 tart apples
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 2-3
  • 2 tablespoons honey, optional
  • 1/2 cup grape juice, or sweet wine

Preparation

Step 1

1. Place walnuts in food processor. Pulse to a coarse meal; remove to a bowl.

2. Core but don't peel apples. Cut into quarters, then eighths. Process until three batches - until tiny pieces but not a puree. Add to nuts.

3. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well.

Notes: Easy and good. Liked the addition of honey a lot and would repeat.
