ONE INGREDIENT FRUIT SPREAD

Ingredients

  • 3 cups blueberries
  • Or blackberries
  • Or raspberries
  • Or strawberries
  • Pitted peaches
  • Pitted cherries

Preparation

Step 1

Wash and preprare fruit and put in heavy shallow=non-stick pan. Add water to cover. Cover tightly and simmer 11-20 minutes until soft. Uncover and continue to simmer, stirring occasionally until most of the liquid evaporates and consistency is thick. Watch to prevent scorching. Remove from heat and cool thoroughly then (sweeten to taste). Spoon into small jars and refrigerate or freeze. For a sweeter spread use fruit juice instead of water.
