Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 2 1/2 cups unbleached flour
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp baking soda
Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and extracts. Combine dry ingredients and add all at once;blend well. Refrigerate 2-3 hours or overnight.
Take out of fridge and let warm briefly. Roll to 1/8" between pieces of saran wrap. Sprinkle with colored sugar before baking. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 375 for 7-8 minutes.
If you don't use colored sugars you may want to frost cookies.
