Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 TBS baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 8 TBS cold unsalted butter cut up
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (1/3 cup for sweeter)
- 2/3 cup milk
Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat Oven to 425.
2. Put flour, baking powder, and salt into a large bowl; Stir mix well. Add butter and cut in with a pastry blender or rub in with your fingers until mixture looks fine.
3. Add sugar; toss to mix.
4. Add milk and stir with fork until a dough forms. Form dough into ball and turn smooth side up.
5. Pat or roll into 6 inch circle and cut each circle into 6-8 wedges.
6. Place wedges on ungreased cookie sheet slightly apart for crisp sides touching for soft.
7. Sprinkle desired amount of cinnamon and sugar on each scone and bake about 12 minutes or until medium brown on top.
