  • BASE:
  • 2 C flour
  • 1/4 C icing sugar
  • 1 TSP baking powder
  • 1 C margarine
  • TOP:
  • 1 C margarine
  • 1 C brown sugar
  • 1/4 C syrup
  • 1 Can condensed sweetened milk
  • 1 TSP vanilla



Step 1

mix flour, icing sugar, and baking powder together. Cut in margarine until crumbly and well mixed. Pat into 9X13 inch pan. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or light brown and cool completely.

Melt butter and remaining ingredients except vanilla to pot. Bring to a boil for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Add 1 tsp vanilla. Pour over the base. Sprinkle with slivered almonds, rosebuds, butterscotch chips - what ever you choose. Cool in fridge. Cut into squares.
