Crock pot Italian beef

Ingredients

  • 2.5 - 3 lbs chuck roast (rump roast)
  • 2 pkg Good Seasons DRY Italian salad dressing mix
  • 1 can of beer (optional, can use beef stock or nothing)

Preparation

Step 1

Put beef in crock pot on low, w/ 1 package of mix and beer. Cook on low for about 8 hours. Can start the night before, if needed, but be careful not to overcook. Tear roast apart after 8 hours. (You can add a second package of salad dressing mix if you like.) Stir and cook for 2 more hours. Serve on warm buns. I serve a broccoli/cherry tomato/pasta salad side with an
oil-based dressing.
