Chicken and Rice Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 cut up chicken\
  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can water
  • 1/2 can white wine (just use water if you don't have wine)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (dried works too)
  • Dash of sage
  • Dash of poultry seasoning

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour rice into a greased casserole dish. Arrange pieces of chicken on top of the rice. Sprinkle onion soup mix over top of the chicken. Mix mushroom soup with the liquids. Add seasonings and pour over chicken and rice. Make sure the liquids reach the rice layer. Add more water if needed. Cover the casserole dish and bake for 1 1/2 hours. (I occasionally stir the rice to evenly distribute the liquids.
