Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1-2/3 cup sugar
- 5 eggs
- 2 cups cake flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or almonds
Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well (1 minute) after each addition. Sift flour with salt, three times. Add to batter. Add vanilla, almond extract and chopped nuts. Pour batter into angel cake form and bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes in 350 degree oven. When cool dust with powdered sugar.
