Ingredients

  • 10 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 10 c. diced onion
  • 7 c. diced green pepper
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 bottle Worcestershire sauce
  • A scant 1/3 cup of salt
  • 1/4 to 1/3 c. black pepper
  • One 8 oz. container of tomato paste
  • 8 to 10 quarts fresh stewed tomatoes (the more the better!)
  • One No. 10 can of Pinto Beans
  • One No. 10 and half of another can of No. 10 Chili Beans
  • A scant 8 oz. of chili powder (mixture of hot and medium)
  • Five or six bay leaves (removed before serving)

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat first. Mix all other ingredients together and then add to brown meat mixture. Cook about three (3) hours.
