Ingredients
- 3 tbsp. oil
- 2 lbs. spare ribs, sweet & sour cut
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup vinegar
- 2 heaping tbsp. corn starch, with enough water to dissolve corn starch
Preparation
Step 1
Put oil into frying pan and brown spare ribs.
In large pot, combine water, brown sugar and vinegar.
Bring to boil.
Thicken with corn starch that has been dissolved in water. Stir constantly to avoil getting lumps. Reduce heat and simmer until thick.
Add spare ribs to sauce and continue simmering for 1 to 2 hours or until spare ribs are tender.
