Ingredients
- Butter, to grease the dish
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 large onion, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 4 cups (32 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 lb pasta, cooked al dente
- 1 lb ricotta cheese
- 1 lb mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat over to 375. Grease a 9x13 casserole dish with butter.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Once oil ripples, add the beef, onion, garlic, Worcester sauce, Italian seasoning, salt & pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until meat is browned and onions are softened, about 8-10 minutes. Turn off heat and stir in the marinara sauce.
Spread 1/4 meat sauce on the bottom of the casserole dish
Top with 1/3 cooked pasta
Dollop 1/2 ricotta cheese around
Sprinkle 1/3 shredded mozzarella
Spread 1/4 meat sauce
Top with 1/3 of cooked pasta
Dollop remaining 1/2 ricotta cheese around
Sprinkle 1/3 shredded mozzarella
Spread 1/4 meat sauce
Top with remaining 1/3 cooked pasta
Spread remaining 1/4 meat sauce
Sprinkle remaining 1/3 shredded mozzarella
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese
Bake until cheese is melted and casserole is warm throughout, about 20 minutes, and serve
