Chocolate Silk Frosting

This recipe gets thick and fudgy.

Ingredients

  • 14oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp heavy cream
  • 7 oz bittersweet chocolate (50-70% cacao, depending on your taste)
  • 1/2 stick (1/4 cup butter) cubed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, stir the sweetened condensed milk and the cream over low heat, until it starts bubbling at the edges. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate, butter and vanilla. Let the chocolate melt, stirring and beating occasionally, while it cools, until thick and fudgy and cooled.
