Preparation
Step 1
Grate rind and squeeze juice from 2 oranges into a 2 cup measure. Set aside.
Combine 1/2 cup of the brown sugar and honey with 2 tablespoons of the juice into saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute. Stir in pecans. Pour into a well greased 9-inch round cake pan, and set aside.
Combine remaining 2 tablespoons brown sugar, cinnamon and margarine. Set aside.
Add milk to remaining orange mixture to yield 1 1/3 cup, stir in oil. Mix flours, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Add liquid mixture to dry ingredients stirring just until moistened. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead until smooth, about 12 times. Roll dough into 8X12-inch rectangle. Spread reserved cinnamon-sugar mixture onto the dough and top with raisins. Roll up dough from long side and cut into 12 slices. Arrange in cake pan cut side down.
Bake at 375°F for 30 to 35 minutes until golden. Remove from oven and immediately invert buns onto rack over wax paper to cool.
