- 1 (8 oz.) can almond paste
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. ground blanched almonds
- 2 egg whites
- 1 1/2 c. almonds, sliced
- 1 pkg. chocolate chips, melted
- 1 tsp. Crisco
Make dough of almond paste, sugar, almonds and egg whites. Roll pieces of dough into crescent shapes a little larger than a finger. Roll into bowl of sliced almonds and bake at 300°F on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper (until light pale brown). Take out onto cooling rack. Dip each end into warm, melted chocolate melted with Crisco.
