Mrs. Ricardi's Bread and Pizza Dough

Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups warm water
  • 1.5 packages dry yeast
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1 TB salt
  • 2 TB sugar
  • 9 cups all purpose flour

Preparation

Step 1

Set a large bowl in hot water to warm it. Add the measured warm water and sprinkle yeast over it to dissolve. Combine eggs, oil, salt, and sugar and whisk into yeast mixture. Add flour to make a soft dough. Turn onto floured board and knead lightly.

Place in clean greased bowl and let rise. Punch down and form to desired shape (roll out for pizza, or form into loaves for bread). Place in lightly greased pans to bake. For bread, let dough rise again. Bake until done in 375 F oven.
