  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 pound italian saugage
  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups mushroom sliced
  • 6 cups 48 oz spagetti sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 30 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups 5 oz parmesan cheese
  • 4 cups 16 oz mozzsrella shredded
  • 4 egg
  • 8 ounces lasagna noodles
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat, onions, garlic & mushrooms. Drain & add spagetti sauce & seasonings. Parmesan is a mix with romano. Mix all cheeses except 1 c of the mozzarella and 1/4 c of the parmesan/romano ., add to beaten eggs in lg bowl. Layer in a 13 x 9 baking dish starting with 1 c of meat sauce, noodles, cheese mixture & meat sauce. End with meat sauce & top with 1/4 c parmesar. Cover with foil & bake 50 min at 350 degrees. Remove & add the remaining cup of mozzerella and return to oven until cheese melts. Remove & let stand 10 min before serving.
