Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/4 cups sifted flour'
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 4 drops green food coloring
Preparation
Step 1
350 degrees for 8 - 10 min. Cream butter and sugar well. Beat in egg and almond extract. Gradually blend in dry ingredients which have been sifted together and tint dough with food coloring. Mix well. Fill cookie press. Form cookies on ungreased cookie sheets, using tree plate no. 21. Sprinkle with green sugar. Bake & remove at once to cooling racks. 1 recipe equals 3/4 of a large can, or 8 doz.
