Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup cooked pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 eggs-beaten
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup raisins

Preparation

Step 1

Combine and beat well sugars and pumpkin; add oil, eggs and water.

Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger. Add nuts and raisins to dry mix.

Add dry mix into wet mixture and mix thoroughly.

Pour into greased loaf pan.

Bake at 350° for 60-65 minutes or until golden brown and toothpick inserted into middle of loaf comes out clean.

Remove from oven and place loaf pan on wire rack for 5 minutes. Then remove bread from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
