Grilled Glazed Macadamia Bananas

Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe bananas - (to 4)
  • 6 ten-inch metal or bamboo skewers -- soaked in water
  • for at least 30 minutes, if bamboo
  • 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 cup macadamia nuts -- chopped finely
  • = (or substitute toasted pecans)

Preparation

Step 1

Thread one banana half (halved lengthwise) onto each skewer. Stir margarine and honey together; brush bananas generously with mixture.

Grill bananas several minutes or until slightly browned and bubbly, turning once. Brush with butter. Lightly roll bananas in nuts. Serve warm.

This recipe yields 6 servings.
