Sesame Beef (chicken) with Brocoli (or String Beans)

Ingredients
- t TB sesame seeds
- 1 lb thinly sliced meat or sliced chicken cutlets
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 Tb canolo oil, divided
- 1 small onion, sliced into half moons
- 1 bell pepper, seeded and thinly sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 2 tsp freshly minced ginger
- 1 C low-sodium beef broth
- 2 Tb soy sauce
- 1 Tb honey
- 1/4 tsp chili flakes (it was too much for me)
- 2 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 2 tsp of cold water
- 1 large head of brocoli (or string beans)
- 2 tsp toasted sesame oil

Step 1
1. In dry skillet, toast the sesame seeds over med-high heat, stirring frequently until golden brown. about 2 minutes.
2. Season the meat-with salt. Heat 2 tsp of the oil in pan. Add half the beef and cook, stirring once or twice until it is browned and cooked through. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the meat to a plate and cover to keep warm. Add 2 more tsp of oil to the pan and repeat with remianing beef.
3.In a small bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, honey and chili flakes and add to the pan. Stir in the dissolved cornstarch and stir until it the mixture reaches a boil. Stir in the brocoli until tender and liquid is thickened.
4. Add the beef back to the pan and stir to cobine. Drizzle with sesame oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
