Ingredients

  • 1 kg plus 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 lb butter
  • 1 can Carnation milk (385 ml) new cans are 354ml, 31 ml less
  • 1 kg icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Melt brown sugar, butter and carnation milk slowly, bringing to rolling boil, reduce to medium boil and boil 12 minutes.

Remove from heat stir in 1 kg sifted icing sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. Beat until smooth.
Pour into aluminum lined pan (glass sticks).
