Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c ketchup
- 1/2 c packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c honey
- 1/4 c liquid smoke
- 1/4 c molasses
- 1 Serrano pepper, finely chopped
- 2 T prepared mustard
- 1 T white wine vinegar
- 1 T Worcestershire sauce
- 2 t onion powder
- 2 t garlic powder
- 1/4 t cayenne pepper
- 4 chicken leg or breast quarters
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/2 t pepper

Step 1
In lg pan combine first 12 ingredients. Bring to boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered for 30 min to allow flavors to blend. Set aside 1/2 c sauce for basting; cover & refrigerate remaining sauce for later use.
Sprinkle chicken with salt & pepper. Moisten paper towel with cooking oil; using long handled tongs, lightly coat grill rack.
Prepare grill for indirect heat, using a drip pan. Place chicken skin side down over drip pan & grill covered over Indirect heat for 20 min. Turn; grill 20-30 min longer until juices run clear, basting occasionally with reserved sauce.
