Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 C shortening
• 1 C sugar
• 3 eggs
• 3 1/2 C flour
• 1 1/2 TSP vanilla
• 2 TSP baking powder
• 1/2 TSP salt

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients until smooth. Chill 3 hours.

Roll out the dough 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Cut out with cookie cutters as wanted.

Bake on ungreased sheet 8-10 minutes at 375.
