Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 slices white bread cubed (brown in 1 teaspoon butter or bacon fat)

- Boiling water
Preparation
Step 1
Put the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Beat eggs with milk. Add liquid to dry ingredients and mix well. Add cubed bread and mix again. Let the dough rest for 1/2 hour. Make 5 balls of dough and roll each in flour. Put in boiling water and boil for 10 minutes (do not touch during this time). After exactly 10 minutes, gently turn them over and boil 10 minutes longer (do not boil longer than 10 minutes per side). Take them out with a slotted spoon.
