40 Clove Garlic Chicken for the crockpot

  • 3 LBS roasting chicken
  • 40 cloves of garlic
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 2 sprigs thyme
  • 2 sprigs sage
  • 2 sprigs italian parsley
  • pepper to taste
  • 3 stalks celery
  • French Bread as a side


Servings 4


Step 1

Rinse chicken in cold water and pat dry. Put 1 sprig of each herb into the chicken cavity. Put celery at the bottom of the crockpot and place chicken on top. Cut up the rest of the herbs and sprinkle on top of the chicken. Add pepper to taste. Peel garlic, leave skin on the individual cloves and place on top and around the chicken. Cook on low for 8-9 hours.

Use the garlic to spread onto slices of french bread.
