MY BEST LASAGNA

Ingredients

  • 1 minced clove garlic
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 c. diced celery
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 3 c. tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1 6oz. can tomato paste
  • 1/2 c. parsley
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • dash sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. cottage cheese
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 lb. lasagna noodles
  • mozzeralla cheese
  • paprika
  • parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Combine garlic, onion, celery and water. Cook 10 minutes, push to one side. Brown hamburger. Stir in onion, tomatoes, ketchup, parsley, salt, basil and sugar. Simmer 20 minutes or until thick. Blend cottage cheese and egg in a small bowl.

Cook noodles in salt water. Place noodles in bottom of lightly greased pan, put 1/3 cheese mix, 1/3 meat mix and some mozeralla cheese. Repeat this until all the mixtures are used. Top with mozeralla cheese then sprinkle with parmesan cheese and sprinkle with paprika.

Cook 30 minutes at 350 F.

Let stand 10 minutes before serving. USUALLY TASTES BETTER THE SECOND DAY.
