Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3 egg
  • 3 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Topping
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. After chilling dough for 1 hour.

2. Use and electric mixer on medium speed to combine butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla until smooth.

3. In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.

4. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet stuff using an electric mixer on medium/low speed until dough is smooth.

5. Mix topping ingredients together in small bowl.

6. Measure one heaping TBS of the dough and roll into a ball.

7. Press half the cookie dough ball into the topping mix.

8. Place the ball sugared side up on a baking sheet.

9. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until cookie just begins to turn light brown.

10. Be careful not to bake too long, or they won't be soft like originals.
