Ingredients
- 2 sliced carrots
- 2 sliced onions
- 2 celery stalks, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1 whole fryer/broiler chicken, 3 to 4 lbs.
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 cup water or chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp basil
Preparation
Step 1
Put carrots, onions & celery in bottom of stoneware. Add whole chicken. Top with salt, pepper & liquid. Sprinkle basil over the top. Cover & cook on Low 10 hours/ High 6 hours, using 1 cup water. remove chicken & vegetables with spatula.
