Ingredients

    cup butter

    cup chocolate chip

  • 2

    cups sugar

  • 2

    eggs

  • 1/2

    teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2

    teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2

    teaspoon salt

  • 2

    teaspoons vanilla

  • 3

    cups flour

  • frosting

  • 1/2

    cup packed brown sugar

  • 3/4

    cup packed coconut

  • 1/2

    cup chopped pecans

  • 1/2

    cup chilled butter

  • 2

    egg yolks, beaten

Directions

1. Melt butter and chocolate chips on high for a minute, Stir until smooth. 2. In another mixing bowl, mix the sugar and the eggs. Add the baking powder, baking soda, salt and vanilla. Stir in the melted chocolate until is fairly warm to the touch, but no longer hot. Add it to the mixing bowl and mix thoroughly. Add the flour and mix well. 3. Cover the dough and set aside while you make frosting. 4. Combine sugar and coconut in a food processor. Mix with steel blade until the coconut is in small pieces. Add the chopped pecans. Cut the butter into 4 chunks and add then process until butter is in small pieces. Seperate the yolks and whip. Add them to bowl and process until incorporated. 5. Preheat oven to 350F. Chill frosting while oven is preheating. Pat cookie dough into 1 inch balls. Press down center. Put frosting into 1/2 inch balls and put in dent. Bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes.
