Devil's Food Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 cups flour
• 1 3/4 cups sugar
• 1/2 cup cocoa powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup sugar, for later
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 cup butter, melted
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1/2 cup strong coffee

Preparation

Step 1

Mix flour, sugar, cocoa pwder, salt and baking soda. Add melted butter and mix. Add eggs and mix. Add coffee and mix. Chill dough for 1 hr. Roll dough into balls then roll in sugar. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool on sheets for 1-2 minutes. Not long or they stick.
